HOT SCHOOL MEALS  

We are able to provide hot schools meals to our pupils.  Should you be interested please contact the office for the reply acceptance slip.

There is a weekly set menu showing the meals provided each day. This will be displayed in children’s classrooms and a copy will be displayed in the school entrance for any parents also wishing to see the menu. The children can decide when being served their hot dinner, whether they wish to have the meat or vegetarian option.  They then have an option of yoghurt, fruit or hot pudding with custard.

The meals operate on a half-termly basis.  You will be committed to paying for your child’s hot meal during that half-term.   The cost of the meal is £2.20 per day.   There are three payment options – weekly, half-termly or payment of the whole term in one lump sum.  Details of exact payments for the half-termly or termly payments will be given to you at the start of each term.  If you chose to cancel your commitment to the hot school meal scheme it must be given in writing.

Payments are to be brought to the school office in an envelope clearly labelled with your child’s name and class and the amount enclosed.  Cheques need to be payable to ‘ Hamworthy Middle School ’ and marked on the reverse with your child’s name and class.  Payment is non-refundable unless there are special circumstances such as long-term sickness. Unfortunately, if your child is ill any days within a week, we will be unable to provide a refund.  For the providers to operate the service successfully, they are dependent on payments being made promptly. If payments are not made on time without good cause, we will no longer be able to offer your child the hot meals.

On a weekly basis of £11 for 13 weeks

For whole term - £143 (13 weeks x £11)

For half a term - £77 (7 weeks x £11)
